Yuanfan wins 1st Prize at the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition 2025

At the end of June 2025, Yuanfan was awarded 1st Prize in the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition 2025, held at the Enric Granados Auditorium in Lleida, Catalonia.

Yuanfan will receive several important debuts and concert opportunities, including two concerto appearances at the historic Palau de la Música in Barcelona, as well as other concerts in Spain, and a debut in Mexico.

After performing in two solo rounds — including an improvisation based on themes and styles suggested by the audience (in this case, Mozart operatic themes in the style of composers associated with Ricard Viñes such as Debussy, Ravel, and Poulenc) — Yuanfan performed Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in the finals with the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, conducted by Nestor Bayona, the artistic director of the competition.
