Yuanfan wins 1st Prize at the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition 2025

At the end of June 2025, Yuanfan was awarded 1st Prize in the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition 2025, held at the Enric Granados Auditorium in Lleida, Catalonia.
Yuanfan will receive several important debuts and concert opportunities, including two concerto appearances at the historic Palau de la Musica in Barcelona, as well as other concerts in Spain, and debuting in Mexico.
After performing in two solo rounds (including an improvisation based on themes/styles suggested by the audience: in this case, it was Mozart Operatic Themes in the style of music associated with Ricard Vines, aka Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc etc.), Yuanfan performed Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in the finals with the Orquestra Simfonica del Valles, conducted by Nestor Bayona, who is artistic director of the competition.
